For those of you who requested it, Here's the starter React template we used (which you can use as a starter template to build any React app, not just a todo-list).

Also, here's the finished todo-list app we built, for those who wanted to compare / wrap up their own.

Let's collaborate

We are excited for the future of this meetup and want to remind everyone that YOU can be the speaker too! If you have a presentation idea, feel free to reach out to us at nico@headway.io and we'd be glad to advise and help you deliver it in a future event. If you have topic requests or feedback, we'd also love to hear from you!

Do you know a little bit of code, but always wanted to build an app?

Let's walk through how to build a small app using React.js!

In this lesson, Nico, a developer at Headway, will walk us through how to build a simple to-do list app using the popular React library. We will explore the core concepts of React such as components, props, state management, and more!

This session will be specifically tailored towards beginners -- that is, you'll be a perfect fit if you've had a bit of exposure to HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Bring your computer and let's make something cool. We'll be live streaming and recording the event too!

Can't join us in Green Bay? Tune in remotely!

We'll start at 6 pm Central here: Zoom Room

Agenda:

5:30 - Networking & Refreshments

6:00 - Presentation & Discussion

7:30 - Q&A and Networking

Due to the current construction of our parking lot, street parking is also available on Broadway street. There is one door on the southern end of the building along the sidewalk. We will have a sign on the door for you. Stairs and elevator are located at the other end of the hallway if entering from the street.
