You have customers, you have traction, and now it's ready to scale. You might think that the learning's over and it's just time to execute - but nothing could be further from the truth.
In this phase, we hear a lot of teams say, "We know what our customers want." It's time to get down into the details so that you can build a business that truly lasts and build a product that customers really love. It's time to start pulling apart the different customer segments you truly serve - and the different journeys they're on - so you can uncover the biggest value opportunities to improve. Your team's rapidly growing and it's going to change and stretch you. There's new roles, different communication, decision-making, delegation, all of that will change.
Most people look outward for more help - to hire more and more people to the team and add more fuel to the flames. But what we've learned is that it's all about looking in. The companies that learn and adapt the fastest win. So it's all about empowering your team to make decisions and take ownership. If you don't do that, you're going to end up wondering how you're going to connect all the dots as a founder. And it's really about helping others help you and help you on your mission. This series is all about getting your team ready to scale. That means learning more about your customers and aligning everyone on your team to serve them better.
